well... its after christmas.... so unless you are near retirement or about to have a baby.... you probably wont die

So I have power to my switch and a test light shows we’re getting power at the 2nd stage, but when I plug in the lights they do not turn on

Check the blades on the back of the switch. I think there are probably three. Top is in, middle is out, bottom is for the bulb in the switch.*
